Mike Hassell

Mike Hassell is the author of Deep Tradeoffs: Restoring Balance and Respect In A Polarized, Angry World. Deep Tradeoffs refer to the eternally conflicting values and truths that underlie today’s raging culture wars. After a decade getting degrees in engineering, business, and liberal arts from Georgia Tech, Harvard, and Vanderbilt, Mike co-founded and managed audio publisher Knowledge Products, which produced 140+ titles on the great ideas of history. He then spent another two decades reading, studying, and writing about the many inconsistent values and principles found in all these diverse areas of interest. Mike's book and his speaking engagements connect many old ideas (and offer fresh insights) about knowledge, belief, imagination, truth, and disagreement.
