A native of Paris and Lexington, Kentucky, David A. Collier earned two degrees at the University of Kentucky before entering the corporate world. He later returned to academic life and earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
For forty-one years, he taught all levels of students and participants in executive programs within the business schools of Duke University, the University of Virginia, The Ohio State University, Florida Gulf Coast University, and the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. As of early 2024, his research has attracted over 50,000 reads and is approaching 5,000 citations, according to one source, ResearchGate.
After decades of authoring award-winning research articles, business cases, and five college textbooks, he wanted a new challenge: writing novels that make a difference. He could have written a science fiction and fantasy book series with no relevance to issues of the day, but David didn’t choose the easier path. The following quote embodies the approach he followed in past academic and novel works: ”Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” (Source: Unknown). David hopes you enjoy the stories in the book series and that they inspire you to protect our home planet so future generations can enjoy its majesty.
David is the author of the fiction series (www.theentity.us) Earth’s Ecocide, as well as Romance in My Rambler using the pen name David A. Bourbon.
David lives in Florida and Maine with his wonderful wife and their Shih Tzu doggie. When not doing the tasks of everyday life, David reads astronomy, philosophy, sustainability, climate change, and science literature and enjoys family, grandkids, golf, boating, sports, and, of course, absolutely everything about nature. He dedicates the Earth’s Ecocide book series to those who love this tiny speck of wonder called Earth. We must protect our home!
