Gary Sprouse

Author/Physician

Dr Sprouse was born in 1956. He grew up in the Mid-Atlantic region in a row house with his parents and 4 siblings. He started working as a newspaper boy at the age of 11, but decided by age 13 that he wanted to be a doctor to help people. In high school he earned accolades as the captain of the wrestling team, scholastic athlete of the year and salutatorian of his class. He attended George Washington University for his bachelor’s degree. He continued his studies at GWU for his medical school training where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Dr Sprouse set up his medical practice in an underserved area in the Eastern Shore of Maryland. During his years in practice, he has worked hard to be a relatable physician to his thousands of patients. He has had a lot of stress throughout the years and has employed his own stress reducers. He sings karaoke, plays pickup basketball, travels, reads and loves to dress up for Halloween. He has 2 adult children from his previous marriage and his current wife, Terri, has 2 children from her previous marriage. He has two grandchildren, so far. This is his first time being a published author, but there are plans for many more books in the future. He is leading seminars on stress reduction. There is an online course for those that can’t attend in person. He feels his unique and varied background and his skill for translating complex medical issues for his patients are the right combination to help people live a better life and spend more time in their Happy Place
